ABOUT US

The U.S. Ambassador’s Youth Council in Cambodia (AYC) was officially formed in October 2012 to cultivate young leaders from around the country, engage Cambodian youth on topics of interest to youth, and receive inputs on U.S. Embassy programs and U.S. policies in Cambodia.

Aside from this advisory role, the AYC members are also working in executing several projects and related activities aiming at raising awareness on social issues under three main umbrellas: education, environment and employment.

WHAT OUR MEMBERS SAY

"I liken AYC membership to a voyage full of learning opportunities, where I grow professionally through project-based and peer learnings. Besides, my tenure at the council also efforts me an enduring friendship with 12 other like-minded youths whose commonality found in our approach to dialogue, and our firm commitment to community service."

- Chou Vithoureakborndidh, Cohort 7
